Femi Dauda Amele “Femi D” is an award winning Nigerian broadcaster and development journalist; a member of Nigerian Association of Science Journalist (NASJ). He is an associate member of Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria (ISMN) He won a UK grant support to produce a short documentary on Climate Change and effects on the Lagos metropolis in 2010 and same video was nominated for Climate Change TV Award in 2010. He is recognized as the personality of the year 2012 from Bayero University, Lagos State Students Association. As well as a finalist for Sports Presenter of the year in 2011 by Nigeria Radio Awards and nominated as Presenter for the year Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kano in 2014. He is grounded in investigative/analytical journalism and presently a broadcaster and a media gatekeeper. His work experience span across 10 years in print and electronic media including NEXT Newspaper, Nigeria Television Authority, UniZik FM, Development Communications Network, Cool FM, Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info FM .His writing has appeared in Next Newspaper, Triumph Newspaper, Gemini News Project, National Review Magazine, CEO Business Journal and New Science Journalism. As a development journalist, he enjoys broadcasting and writing on issues bordering on education, science, politics, gender development and making commentary on issues that relate to Sports and News having covered four of six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. FemiD is now with Nigeria Info FM Abuja, a news, talk and sports station as an On Air Personality; He hosts a late night current affairs talk show on issues of national Interest including politics and news breaking interviews titled Let's Talk with FemiDlive, a 5 hours weekday talk show from 8pm - 1am on Nigeria Info, 95.1 Abuja focuses extensively on current affairs, politics and economy.He co-host the weekend broadcast of Morning Crossfire on the same radio station. His broadcast technique has been described as ‘unscripted, unvarnished, thought provoking and decisive’ and draws a compelling audience in, with every broadcast as the King of Talk Radio. FemiD is also a film maker winning Best Director for his short film "Ring of Bondage" at HD Film Academy Script to Screen 2014 Awards with the film in three (3) other nominations for the night. He is also the winner of the ECONOMIC POWER AWARD 2015 for Local Content and Entrepreneurship promotion from Common Wealth of Naija and Abuja Enterprise Agency. He is the recipient of the Guardian, Beacon of Literacy Award 2015 from iRead Project. He is due to be conferred with National Dream Personality Award 2016 by Nigeria Rebirth group in collaboration with the Ministry Of Youth and Sports. Also listed in the nomination for Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Award, 2016 for best on air personality for an evening show in Nigeria. He is the conveyor of the speaking event, The Statesman Idea with FemiDlive, an event ‘on action inspired thinking for young leaders’ to create enlightenment and commitment towards goal achievement for a thinking populace. He is an advisory board member for iRead Nigeria Project. His recent speaking engagement includes The Nigerian Rebirth Project, (a monumental art national project); a regular contributor to BBC Town hall Meeting with Nigerian leaders; From Zero to Hero (Motivating Women); Poet, Jazz and Internal Displaced People and more. He moderated the 2015 Emerging Leaders Conference 2015. In 2015, he had hundreds of interviews with International Diplomats, Ambassadors, Star Actors, Advocates, Entrepreneurs, Poets and Business leaders including Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Sam Ikoku, Tonye Cole, Innocent Chukwuma, Shawn Flatt, Dr. Bukola Bello Jaiyesimi, Linus Okorie and more.
